StrongHinges S3 plate H0, clip-on type, for screw fixing
Mounting plate for clip-on hinges StrongHinges S3. The height of the plate and the method of fixing to the cabinet is defined in the product name.
The required height of the mounting plate depends on the hinge cup drilling position, the thickness of the cabinet side panel, and the intended door overlay (half/full overlay) or the size of the gap between the door and the cabinet side panel (inset door).
Once the calculated mounting plate height for the specific situation is determined, select the mounting plate (H0/H2/H4) closest to the calculated value, and fine-tune the remaining overlay by adjusting the hinge arm.
For cabinet side panels of thickness 18 mm and a hinge cup drilling distance of 6 mm from the door edge, the required mounting plate height is H0:
- calculation for full overlay hinges => H = K-D+11 = 6-17+11 = 0mm
- calculation for half overlay hinges => H = K-D+1 = 6-7,5+1 = -0,5mm
- calculation for inset hinges => H = A-6+K-2 = 1,5-6+6-2 = -0,5mm
Legend for calculation:
H = Calculated mounting plate height
K = Hinge cup drilling distance from the door edge (assumed 6 mm)
D = Door overlay (assumed 17 mm for full overlay and 7,5 mm for half overlay)
A = Gap between cabinet and inset doors (assumed 1,5 mm)
Calculated with a cabinet side panel thickness of 18 mm.
